So, you just moved to Los Angeles… what?

One of the best things about Los Angeles is that it has something for everyone.  Here is a list of some of our favorite things to do in LA (feel free to add some of your own):

  • Go to Staples Center to see the Los Angeles Lakers and/or the Los Angeles Clippers
  • See the breathtaking views of Los Angeles from Griffith Observatory
  • Witness spectacular modern art at LACMA
  • Shop with the stars on Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills
  • Cruise the Pacific Coast Highway from Venice to Malibu
  • Check out Hollywood – Walk of Fame, Chinese Theatre, Hollywood Street Performers
  • View art from the Mega Artists at The Getty Center
  • Be a kid again at Disneyland
  • Get your pump on at Muscle Beach then peruse Venice Boardwalk
  • Ride the wild rides at Six Flags Magic Mountain
  • Visit the Santa Monica Pier for fun in the sun
  • Be a director and tour one of the many production studios – Paramount, Universal, Warner Brothers

If you’re new to Los Angeles and currently renting, speak to one of our real estate brokers about the possibility of buying instead. In today’s real estate market, you can often be buying for less than renting (with as little as 3.5% down).

Did we miss anything on that list? Leave a comment below and we’ll be sure to update the list with your recommendations.

E-mail us at photos of your favorite things to do in Los Angeles! We’d love to post them.

Andrea Boudewijn with Superfine Bakery in Studio City CA says:

Get a Pastrami sammy at Langer’s (during daylight — unsafe at night)! Get a beer and play the ponies Th-Sun at Santa Anita race track! Visit the food truck parade during the week, either on Wilshire, or in the Valley on Bluffside. Last one: See Radiohead in May. It will change your life 🙂

Marsha Collier with Cool Ebay Tools in Los Angeles agrees:

Go to The Getty

Jennifer Davis also from Los Angeles recommends:

Cemetery screenings in the summer, surfing at sunrise, driving on Mulholland, Venice beach, late Hollywood nights, Pacific Coastal Highway.
